The base is, personally, my favourite bit, of this. Being able to ping on my nail stands makes life so much easier.If you do false nails, or add a lot of charms and adornments, then this is fantastic! For your own nails, it can be a bit awkward.So some of the “issues” can be used to your own benefit, not all, though. I found the piece that angles the bracket, to be annoyingly stiff, to the point that I’d have to take the light out, take it off the base, manually angle it, check it with the lamp in, and rinse and repeat. If it was looser or had a wing-nut or something that could be loosened to the point you need it, it would be so much better.It can be used while it’s on charge. However, it will just want to flip, so that the lamp is to the ceiling. There are also a lot of points, where if the pen isn’t almost perfectly centred, it’ll flip to the ceiling. It’s not well weighted, in that aspect. I do have a peel-off base that creeps back unless flash cured, and is a little bumpy unless given time to settle or flipped, but then it’s a race against it pulling up from all sides, so having it pointed to the ceiling has actually got me a perfect finish with that every time!If you’re using it with the base for magnetic nail stands, and have it set to the angle, then you only need to slide out the nails for the next set. It’s brilliant once it’s set up for that.When you’re flash curing upside down, and it’s set in place, it’s also pretty great. But if you want one that’s easy to remove from the stand as and when needed, this probably isn’t it. Sliding it out or popping it isn’t as slick as my old one.The major upside is that this one actually states that it’s 395mn, whereas all my other handheld UV lights are a mystery.While it might sound like it stressed me out, (and it kinda did, trying to apply false nails, honestly) for specific uses, it really is brilliant.

Best part about this whole thing, was indeed the base. The base is sturdy and it is strong.The connection to the base and little thing that holds the hand held lamp in place is held together by a very strong magnet that when putting together, you feel the intense pull of the magnet.The only problem was it’s a little stiff when trying to get the angle you want the little hand held lamp but you don’t really need to be THAT precise, or at least, i find i don’t need to be when i want to cure things fast. I personally only use lamps like this for flash curing tips or designs that i want to cure for 10-30 seconds to make sure something is held in place so that i can then either do something else or put under a big lamp to finish fully curing without worrying about something falling off.This lamp and stand in it’s entirety works perfectly for that and it’s intended uses. It can be moved up and down and then rotated sideways as needed by pivoting the base slightly. It just takes a little bit of wiggle room and you can get the lamp EXACTLY where you want it.Excellent device. Would recommend to people who are in need of something for flash curing, or even a great stand for flash curing lamps.The stand has a metal clasp that opens with a flexible “mouth” that the hand held lamp pops into. Varying sized lamps could fit into the “mouth” area of the stand clasp.
