I’ve used this type of hair removal system before, but I found the Sensilight awkward to use because the on/off/energy level button is on the opposite side to the trigger button. This meant I found that it was too easy to catch the on/off button whilst pressing the trigger button. I also experienced the unit just switching off when I moved it to a different position on my body.I’m sure that body hair will successfully be removed as the technology isn’t new, but I’m afraid this unit is not for me.Also note the main image on the web page shows the unit appearing to be cordless. It is not cordless. Other images show it connected when in use and the main image could be seen as quite misleading.

Yes, I admit, I’m a renowned and total cynic about most things even remotely related to the ‘beauty industry’, which in many instances might read as a synonym for ‘relieving the gullible of their hard-earned industry’.Chomp. In this, I’ve had to eat my words. Yes, it appears to work. No, you won’t see results instanta -it takes several weeks of application, but since it’s straightforward to use, this isn’t exactly the greatest hardship in the world. As they say, permanent (ask me again in a decade) hair removal at home, which allegedly was the province of salons until recently. I can’t comment on that part, but as a product it seems quite solid. Cheap it isn’t, but on perusing a couple of websites for post-Covid appointment prices, it probably represents good value if you’ve the patience and time to hand.Packaging is modest, as is the unit size, which feels and looks rather like a very large pebble. So it fits the hand easily -perhaps a touch too easily as it can be a little easy to catch buttons inadvertently. A minor quibble. Being corded, no need for separate chargers, and the number of flashes seems high. The claim is that it suits most skin-tones, and hair colours aside from very pale / white shades, which given the nature of the beast seems understandable. It can also be used everywhere, apart from around the eyes or near tattoos -presumably in the latter case to avoid premature breakdown of the ink, and while the marketing clearly leans toward what will no doubt be the key feminine customers, it is made clear it can be used by both / all genders. Use is painless, reasonably brisk in operation depending on the size of area to be covered, and it does seem to do what is claimed in terms of gradual hair reduction; since mine is quite coarse, I suspect finer hair may be more rapidly affected. Overall, it seems to be a good, well-conceived product that can be recommended.

My first impressions are of a well packaged, well made quality product. This is our first foray into this type of device and it is clear from the extensive product documentation that patience is required to see results. Therefore I will review based on a first round of treatment and hopefully report back in 8-16 weeks time.I have given 4 stars for now because although it is a lovely product it is not yet fully tested but this may be updated in the future. Update:- 11 weeks in and repeated treatments later. This device is definitely showing good results and has appreciably reduced hair growth in the treated areas. I have updated to 5 stars. Skin is left smoother and feels soft to the touch. Nice one.So far we have followed the instructions to give a first treatment to a so called ‘test area’ and everything functioned as you would hope. The device is a little bigger/heavier than I was expecting but proved easy to manipulate accurately. Either using it yourself or with the assistance of a ‘good’ friend. The safety features worked as described. It was comfortable to use with little or no adverse sensory effects and no marks left on the skin. The next phase will be to work on a larger more exposed area and then wait as the treatments are repeated over an 8-16 week period. By that time it should be clear how well it is working but as they say so far so good.It is a good product and seems good value for the features you get. I will report back later – Update: An excellent package that has certainly shown good results for us.
