These hair straighteners come with a heat glove, some scissors (for emergency trimming), 2 sectioning clips and a comb.They have two plates per side, which means you’re doing a dual straightening run in one pass, which is great for thicker hair. The plates are slightly floating in that they’re sprung but there’s quite a lot of resistance so you need to close the straighteners quite tightly against the hair for maximum straightening.I have relatively fine hair but a lot of it so tried these out at the lowest temperature (140C), they heated up extremely fast and the large LED temperature display is very easy to read. You can also switch between Fahrenheit or Celsius by pressing the + and – buttons together.There’s also a safety lock, which I appreciate.Having used various straighteners in the past, I was happily surprised at the results from these as my hair stayed straight all day and into the next day as well after being slept on.I would definitely recommend using these straighteners with a heat mat (not provided) as the handle design doesn’t include any kind of rest or weighted balancing to ensure that the outside of the straighteners doesn’t touch the surface they’re on and, at maximum temp, they take a while to fully cool down.The instruction manual is “interesting” due to some translation/wording issues (remember not to use these straighteners for toasting sandwiches) but you should be OK if you’ve used straighteners before and have basic common sense.Overall – really good hair straighteners at a very reasonable price.
