This is a sweet little set – two mini plastic pots housed in a pretty pink and green cardboard box, the colours representing the watermelon scent I selected.The scrub is okay. It’s beautifully scented and comes with a mini spatula to apply it to the lips. In my opinion, this little tool is there for perceived added value and is wholly unnecessary – a clean finger tip does just fine and helps you apply yhe scrub more intuitively where there is dry skin. as a scrub, I don’t think its hugely effective. The sugar sort of dissolves as you rub, but it doesn’t do much really. For super dry lips, you’d be better off rubbing a flannel over them (with this on the flannel perhaps!).Four stars because the lip mask is really nice. It’s a medium thick texture and quite oily, so you don’t need to dig in to it. It’s super softening and I really love the watermelon smell. It’s yummy. I do think the only reason this is called a lip ‘mask’ rather than lip ‘balm’ is the instruction to put a lot of it on at night. It’s basically a lip balm, but a really really nice one. The set would make a nice little gift.
That’s not my name –
I do suffer from dry and flaky lips and need to use lip balm every day multiple times and when they feel dry if I don’t have lip balm on me, I will absentmindedly chew at my lips making them feel even more dry whereas when they are hydrated I leave them alone. This scrub has definitely helped and is a nice product to use and is quick so doesn’t take much commitment like a skincare routine does. I just use it probably 2-3 times a week on an evening before going to bed – apply the scrub, remove with a flannel, then add the mask which is really just a balm. If my lips are feeling soft and hydrated before bed I don’t use it as its clearly not necessary. The watermelon scent is nice and fruity. The day after the nights I do use it, I always wake up with softer lips that feel much more hydrated. I did start off using the applicator but it’s fine to put on with your fingers too.All in all a nice, commitment light, affordable treat. The current price is very reasonable, and if you do decide to buy don’t forget to check the listing to see if there is a tick box for a voucher to save yourself some money.
