I’ve been using the Vaseline Gluta-Hya Flawless Glow Serum-In-Lotion for a few weeks now, and the transformation is remarkable. The texture is light and absorbs very quickly and seems to offer good hydration.Now for my problem with this product and reason for each of the -3 stars:1. The scent is overpowering. It is unnecessarily strong and sharp!As a lover of perfumes, I can honestly say the intensity and sharpness of this scent is truly off-putting, especially if you want a scent that blends with your scent or other products harmoniously. Not this one. It stands out.The company seems stuck in the 1950s with their use of scents.Maybe, someone wants to walk down the street and have their neighbour recognize their Vaseline hand lotion from across the street like its a status symbol. I do NOT.I’m a perfume lover. A hand lotion that immediately assaults the senses and interferes with and ruins an otherwise lovely cent bubble is an immediate NO for me.If the company focused on neutral, light scent profiles, that could be used to layer WITH perfumes or left them unscented, that would much improve it and give it back one star.2. Additionally, the product claims to have many popular active ingredients for addressing skin brightness and texture, like niacinamide and retinol, but does not specify any of the percentage of these actives.So, one is left to think it is merely advertisement to entice the buyer, and not deliver any of the results.People that use these actives daily, know that percentages matter. And the consumer wants to know what we’re using and what results we can expect based on that.3. The cost, for this small size is actually outrageous, unless it performs some miracle.It also claims to have sunscreen, but again, SPF is also unspecified.This is more a concept of a hand lotion. Not really worth the big price for what its claiming.They make a good Hand and Nail formula, that performs well and actually does strengthen the nails, which is why I decided to try this one. I cannot however, get over how it stinks up the entire house and lingers, so I will give it away or put it in the bin.
