As someone who has maintained platinum blonde hair for almost 2 decades, I’ve tried just about every purple shampoo and conditioner on the market. I have tried salon brands and things that I can pick up at the drugstore but have my tried and true favorties.For background: my hair is damaged, dry and porous from years of chemical treatments. I baby my hair but know it’s limits.Purple shampoo tends to be drying and most of the time comes with an unpleasant scent. I find that the options available currently are either lacking pigment and therefore, not really “toning” out the brasiness OR the color is so rich and pigmented that you have to be extremely careful with how long you keep it in.Having porous, or dry hair that wants to suck up any color/pigment/moisture, I have left the shower with bright purple streaks of hair. While this sounds cool, it actually looks incredibly splotchy and weird. I then have to go and scrub my hair with a clarifying shampoo or dish soap to remove the purple, further drying out my hair. My go to for a few years has been Fanola – while it is probably the deepest in purple color available, I have mastered the art of timing and diluting to get the results I want. Still, this leaves my hair dry and the scent, while not as bad as others, is not a salon aroma.Enter Morrocanoil.ok… WOW. That’s all I can say. The shampoo is just the perfect amount of pigment and I have not had any issues with color grabbing to my dry ends. No need to dilute!The conditioner is, unlike many others on the market, very pigmented and makes a difference with use.The both smell GREAT and leave my hair less dry than others I’ve tried.I really like both the shampoo and conditioner and will be purchasing both once I run out!

This set is a bit pricey but the the Purple shampoo and conditioner kept my highlights from going brassy and it saved me money at the salon in the long run. Well worth it and it makes your hair smell amazing!
