You definitely need to like lavender to like this. But it’s a real lavender (like a lavender sachet) and not a fake one. I would definitely buy this. The only thing that took me by surprise was the consistency of the gel, which is a bit slimy. It’s slippery and easy to spread around, but it’s not a foaming cleanser (if that’s what you’re looking for). When I’m using it my overall sensation is that I’m washing with something very natural. Then I checked out the ingredients and discovered there are fewer unknown chemicals than I usually see. Plus, it’s organic. So for those of you who want “clean” products, this may be a nice and inexpensive way to go. Fwiw, I haven’t tried it with a full face of makeup so I can’t comment on how well it deep cleans. But for a daily gentle wash, this fits my bill. Lastly, I’m middle-aged and I don’t feel this as super drying or super moisturizing – I’d say this is middle of the road in that respect, but if I have to choose one I’d say more on the drying than moisturizing side. For that reason it might be especially good for a teenager.

While I haven’t had oily skin since a teenager I’m left with very large pores. I used this to deep clean my pores and didn’t expect an organic cleanser to lather very well, but it does. I didn’t notice a strong scent as others mentioned but rather a lighter pleasant scent. Watch out on the first squeeze, with just a little pressure I accidentally got 5X the product I needed to wash my face. After rinsing and as my skin started to dry I did notice a lot of tightening so followed up immediately with a serum and moisturizer. This jelly cleanser says to use twice per day but given that I have drier skin, I will only use every other day to keep pores clean. If you are a teenager or otherwise have oily skin this cleanser should work great for you.

I have really good skin, so I don’t get bumps very often. My skin is always clear. I tried out this facial cleanser to possibly add something new into my routine. It made my skin feel very good the next day, but that following night I got two bumps on my face that gradually grew throughout the day. They aren’t painful, but I know it’s from me using this cleanser.I will say it does feel good to use this on my body! It lather very good, and a little bit goes a long way!

I like to use this cleanser first thing in the morning, when my skin has no makeup that needs to be removed. I have had a few times where I had lingering eye makeup from the night before and the cleanser did not remove it; in fairness, it was lash glue, which can be a little tricky even when I am using an oil-based cleanser.I find the lavender scent soothing first thing in the morning and the non-foaming cleanser preps my skin for the day. I still have slightly oily-combination skin with a plethora of pores, and with this cleanser, I have found that my skin does not get nearly as oily during the day, allowing my makeup to stay firmly in place.Overall, I have no complaints as this seems to be a gentle cleanser that controls oil well!
