RIMMEL LONDON Jelly Blush – Peach Punch

Cream blushes are something that I sometimes use and I find them to be more natural looking. I often find they break me out because they tend to be a bit sticky and greasy. This is very similar in its end result, but does not feel like a cream blush at all. It is cold and wet and like a slime, not greasy or heavy at all. It is very light. Really fun and intriguing.It has really high pigment. I dabbed my finger in it and tapped it on my cheek and just one little tap in it gave a lay of payoff. I also apply it on my lips. A little goes a long way. It is a very pretty shade. A little darker than I expected but easy to blend out to diffuse it. I feel like I have total control over it.The little jar was smaller than I expected, but it should last quite a while. It has a life of 6 months after opening so there is plenty for that. I just wish it was flatter and wider to get access to it with a bigger brush or sponge to stipple.Their packaging for this was done really well. It had a plastic wrap on the outside and a foil cover under the lid. This product tends to move around quite a bit, so if you get it, make sure it has laid flat for a while so it settles to the bottom to prevent any chance of waste.I really, really like it.

The texture of this blush is really interesting, I wasn’t expecting it to literally be like a jelly. It has the texture of slime and you just have to dab your finger on the top of the blush and the colour transfers right over. I like the texture quite a bit. It’s such a small container, think lip gloss, but because of the texture of the blush it will last a long while. I got the peach colour, I was unsure of how it would look on my skin tone as I have fair skin with a rosy undertone. It looks really good, but I don’t think it looks peachy at all it’s more pink. It has a little bit of shimmer to it, but not overkill like the girls in the picture above. I find that this blends into my cheeks very nicely, it doesn’t dry too quickly so I get enough time to blend it to my liking. I find that it lasts throughout the day without looking greasy. I like to use it on my cheeks and a little on my eyelids if I’m going for a casual day look. I’m surprised at how much I like this.

I love the colour of this blush.; it matches my complexion perfectly. It’s not really a jelly, more a liquid but it goes on smoothly with moisturizer and/or foundation underneath, and a very little goes a long way. Which is good because there isn’t much in it; the container is about half full.It’s long wearing, much more so than my foundation. I use the tiniest drop and it does my whole cheek. If I wanted a more pronounced shade, it’s very easy to layer.It’s good value for the money.
