The Olay body lotions have been attracting a lot of attention in the US, especially on TikTok and the good news is, they are launching in the UK! Here’s my review of the Olay Regenerist Firming Body Lotion Niacinamide, with everything you need to know.
How It Performed (My Two-Week Mini Test)
What I loved:
- Softness boost – Immediately (one use) the treated area felt smoother; I could feel hydration “infusing” into the skin instead of just sitting on top
- Firming effect (visually subtle) – While “firming” for a body lotion is trickier to gauge, after a week the texture of my skin felt improved (especially problems areas like knees and elbows) with less dryness and less roughness
- Absorption time – No greasy residue. You can apply and then reach for your pyjamas and not feel uncomfortable
- Smell – Pleasant. Fresh. Not heavy. Good for someone who dislikes “perfumed” body creams
- Ideal for problem zones – If you’ve got hard skin patches (elbows, outer arms, etc.), this is a strong contender

As always with “firming” claims: the effect is moderate. I don’t expect dramatic skin-lifting overnight. But this delivers a noticeably better texture, which in my book counts.

My Verdict
Is it worth the hype? In my opinion, absolutely yes. This is set to rank among my favourites for body lotions this year. It’s easy to use, super effective and affordable.

I have sensitive skin, is this safe?
While it doesn’t appear (in my test) to be irritating, if you have very sensitive skin it’s always best to patch test (e.g., inner forearm for 24 hours) before full-body application. Niacinamide is generally well tolerated.
Will this permanently “firm” my skin / reduce sagging?
Real talk: body lotions have limits. While I saw improved texture and softness, dramatic lift or sag reduction will depend on many factors (age, skin thickness, genetics, lifestyle). But for what it can do in texture, tone and feel, it delivers well.
Final Thoughts
If you’re on the lookout for a body lotion that feels more skincare than just body-care, and you’ve been waiting for something firming with niacinamide in the UK, this is it. My experience (and I tested it properly) says it lives up to the hype.
