USEFUL QUESTIONS:
I bought this product but I expected it would be flower.
They are whole psyllium peels, as clearly indicated in the title of the offer and on the product label. It is not powder or flour, which is another product. We at NaturaleBio sell psyllium peels, or cuticle. This is the layer that covers the seed of this plant. Psyllium peels have higher ability to swell.
If I mix it into liquids it takes a gelatin-like consistency, is that normal?
Psyllium is rich in fibre. The slime that is concentrated in the skin increases weight when contact with water and forms a gel. This gelatin-like consistency promotes the normal volume and consistency of bowel movement. Psyllium peels have a greater ability to swell than the seeds. To achieve the same effect, one should consume about three times more seeds than peels of Psyllium.
Contains Psyllium gluten? Why is this not on the label?
Psyllium peels are naturally gluten-free. For “naturally gluten-free” products, this statement on the label cannot be made in accordance with Article 7 of Regulation (EU) No 1169 of 2011, as they do not need to be declared gluten-free.
