This makes my hair shiny, gives it body and bouncy, and is easy to use. I would like a smaller brush head for short styles, but this works on my shoulder length hair. The 2 heat level settings are useful as the hottest can burn my fingers with extended use, & the cooling level helps to set the style.

This brush is round, not oval or huge (like Revlon’s). It lifts the roots of my (long layered) short hair enough to make it appear fuller, which is the result I was looking for. Before this, I was using a curling iron on high heat. I would take a section of hair, spritz it with hair spray and curl it. Doing this for years eventually damaged my hair. The heat level on this brush feels much lower, even when set to high. I also find it easier to use than the curling iron. My hair is now shiny, smooth and healthy. The instructions say not to use the brush on very wet hair. I wait until my hair is about 60-70% dry. This brush is easy to use, cuts styling time and doesn’t harm my hair. Took a while to get used to this. I now find that rather than using a chunk and using the wrap, letting go and just using heat, then unwrapping, I use smaller pieces of hair and keep it loose so the wand constantly rotates through the ends and the hair is curled, but not curled up in the unit. Hope that makes sense for other users. It’s helpful to smooth out ends a bit too. I do also have a big barrel version which I much prefer for overall smoothing of the hair and getting a bouncy look, but this is good for just giving the ends that little extra. I have long, thick auburn hair. Don’t forget a heat protection spray, it’s hot 🙂
