If you are looking for a curling wand that can create a variety of curls and waves, the BaByliss Ceramic Curling Wand Pro might be a good option for you. This wand has a 13-25mm conical barrel that heats up quickly and evenly, and has a wrap control feature that helps you guide the hair around the barrel for easy styling. The wand also has a variable heat setting that ranges from 150°C to 210°C, so you can choose the temperature that suits your hair type and desired curl. The wand comes with a heat glove and a heat mat to protect your hands and surfaces from the high heat.I have used this wand several times and I am impressed with the results. The wand is easy to use and creates beautiful curls and waves that last for hours. The ceramic coating on the barrel makes the hair smooth and shiny, and reduces frizz and static. The wrap control feature is very helpful, as it prevents the hair from slipping off the barrel and ensures even heat distribution. The wand also has a cool tip that makes it safer to hold and a swivel cord that prevents tangling. The heat glove and mat are also very useful and prevent burns and damage. The only downside of this wand is that it does not have a digital display or a temperature indicator, so you have to guess the temperature by the number of lights on the handle. It would be nice to have a more precise way of knowing the temperature, especially if you have sensitive or damaged hair. Also, the wand does not have an automatic shut-off feature, so you have to remember to turn it off after use.Overall, I think the BaByliss Ceramic Curling Wand Pro is a great curling wand that can create different styles of curls and waves with ease. It is affordable, easy to use, and effective. It has a few minor drawbacks, but they do not outweigh the benefits. I would recommend this wand to anyone who wants to add some bounce and texture to their hair.

I have very strong straight hair and for a recent occasion, I wanted something different. It was a 5hr drive to the venue and I allowed 2.5hrs to get ready from scratch so I would NOT have time to visit a hairdresser (plus I needed my hair done before I could put my narrow neck dress on over my head). I am totally USELESS at doing anything other than straightening my hair which is between my shoulders and waist in length. I haven’t attempted anything else in years because nothing seems to hold my hair either other than in an alice band or ponytail. I’d seen videos of gals using wands rather than curling tongs and they made it look soo easy. This one was affordable enough to let me try it out without breaking the bank. I’m glad I did. I LOVE it!!!It takes a little bit of getting used to the right body contortions needed to successfully curl without burning yourself. Instructions say point wand downwards and close to your head then starting at the part nearest the handle, just wind your hair down it to the end and you can place you finger safely on the cool tip. I tried it for the first time a few days before my occasion. I quickly gave myself a bad burn across the back of my right hand whilst winding the hair round. It DOES get very hot and I was on the 2nd highest temperature. But the effects were very impressive and lasted quite a long time but that may be because of the use of hair product (which I never use either)! The week before my occasion I had a practise run! I had washed, moussed and blow dried my hair 2 days beforehand so firstly sectioned it into horizontal layers, then took small maybe 2 inch wide sections and did what the instructions said. You can change the tightness of the curl depending on how hot or how long you hold the hair around the wand. I didn’t want tight ringlets nor just a loose wave. I wanted something in between – a wave that was almost a curl! So I used the 2nd highest temperature and held hair for 12 seconds. Once I’d finished a horizontal layer all round my head, I sprayed it with some texturising strong hold hairspray. To sort the back out was a bit trickier but I did it topsy turvy instead – ie pulled the top and middle layers of hair UP above my head so I could see it in the mirror and pointed the wand up the way in the same direction and wound the hair upwards towards the thin end! Once it was all done, I used a really wide tooth comb and my fingers to loosen it a little into the way I wanted it. From there I could leave it down or put it half up etc.On the actual day of the occasion I had less time to get ready than allowed and my hair was straight. The only difference this time was, for speed, my husband had to do the back! He is even less adept at doing hair than I am … and clumsier. But he got it fairly quickly – he DID also burn himself a couple of times but not as bad as I had before. He had to do a few sections twice because he’d not held on long enough or hadn’t got close enough to my head but overall, he did a really good job considering. Only telling this part to show how easy it is to use once you’ve understood the technique. I put the sides into a half up ponytail for the occasion, took it down that night before bed and stuck it all up in a bulldog clip on top. Next morning, when I let it down, it still had enough curl/wave in it for me to just fluff the roots up with my fingers (not even a comb) and leave it with an alice band in. In fact I did the same for the next 3 days and it held.So I’m well pleased with my wand because I’m sure it’ll only get easier and I’ll achieve even better results with more practice. The best thing is being able to leave it longer between styling – i.e., no more daily straightening! It’s been quite liberating to just be able to get up, take the clip out, shake it down and stick an a clip or band in it! If only I had a long haired female friend or relative nearby to practice even more on. This has given me the confidence and the desire to try out new looks. On the plus side, it has a rotating cord so that doesn’t get all spirally and wound up. But it’s also too easy to switch the dang thing off when you’re transferring it from one hand to the other and holding it where you can’t see it and moving it around a bit. Your hand can’t help but close over the on/off switch so you have to check it quite often. Again, something I’m sure you’d overcome with more practise.
