Drowning under boxes –
This connected easily to both my Android mobile and my Echo Show by bluetooth.I found it surprisingly comfortable to wear, as there are recesses where it goes over your eyes meaning no pressure on your eyeballs. I could still feel my (fairly short natural) eyelashes brushing it when I blinked with it on, which seemed weird at first but I soon got used to it. With it on I can settle down on my side just as easily as on my back, which I couldn’t do when I tried using a normal set of bluetooth headphones.Using this makes it much easier for me to get the white noise I use to help me sleep at the right volume level, which is great. And it also means only I can hear it. I was worried I may not hear my alarms in the morning, but if I still have this on when the ones on the Show sound it comes straight through this (which resulted in my having to turn the volume of those down slightly). I still hear the alarms on my phone (on the bedside cabinet beside me) even with this on.The only thing it’s missing that I’d find useful is a battery strength notification when turning it on. I have headphones that tell me ‘battery high’ or ‘medium’ or ‘low’ as I turn on, and I then know if I they should last me the activity I’m about to use them for. But this doesn’t have that, and after using it for a few nights I had it suddenly stop after about 10 minutes – which meant the white noise suddenly started to come out of the Show, and not at the volume level I need for listening that way.

I wasn’t expecting much out of the ‘LC-dolida Bluetooth Sleep Mask Headphones,200% Blackout 6A Ice Silk Eye Mask with TravelPouch’ and I was pleasantly proved wrong.Inside the rather plain looking box is the eye mask, a very nicely constructed travel pouch, a USB lead and some foam ear plugs.The mask itself is well stitched and very comfortable, even with the earphones you can barely feel them. Music playback if definitely adequate considering the purpose and sound bleed for anyone not wearing the mask is minimal. Connection to a Bluetooth device is simplicity itself.In use the mask is extremely comfortable, fun fact is that I fell asleep when I first tried the mask and I have just fallen asleep using it again to remind me of how it feels. The controls on the front of mine are simply on/off button and plus or minus volume. The mask is also very efficient at blocking out light.At £17.50 I think this is a great item and I would definitely order again.

Firstly, the positives:Very comfortable, silky-soft material and easy to charge up. The little speakers are adjustable so that you can fit them to where your ears are and they are easy to hook up via Bluetooth.Now for the negatives:Instructions are vague at best and don’t give much info at all. They are also incorrect as you cannot adjust the volume through the mask whatsoever, despite long-pressing buttons as directed. The sound quality is incredibly basic and I found that the parts of the music I liked best were almost inaudible through these speakers. For example, one piece I was listening to has a wonderful bass accompaniment that on literally anything else is evidently noticeable and beautiful. Through these speakers, I barely heard it.The mask does not block out light very well around the bottom and also shifts a lot as you sleep. The tightening band is just velcro, so it snags the hair and also doesn’t have a lot of tightening room to it, so my mask kept slipping down. The speakers also kept moving around so I had to keep adjusting them to hear the music.I can’t really recommend this fully. I mean, it’s ok but you have to faff about so much to get it just right, it seems like a whole lot of hassle. For a trip maybe it’d be suitable as you can’t really rotisserie-chicken in your seat and make the mask move about too much, but if you’re at home in your own bed or in a different bed (not judging), it’s just not great. You may as well wear a really decent eye mask that gives 100% coverage and listen to something on a speaker next to the bed.I wanted to love this but I don’t. It’s a shame and with some tweaks it could be so much better. But this particular mask? Not a fan.

Eye mask with Bluetooth Headphones with adjustable strap for travel, nap sleeping, shift work.I’ve been trying it out as I have chronic insomnia, even tho other family members have found it easy to fall asleep with it on. I still don’t and end up just listening to what playing,But it does block the light out and feels OK when you get use to having something around your head which I’m not used too.I think the design of the mask should be adapted a little to lower the speakers as they sit rather high. If I pull it down so it covers more of my actual correct position of my ears, it then becomes too low in the front.Also I know the velcro fastening is good in one way because your able to tailor it to a variety of size heads. This Bluetooth sleep mask with built-in earphones is really quite good sound quality, I’m very impressed with that element of it. Also the sound doesn’t carry much beyond the mask, so if you’re lying on bed listening to an audio book, your partner won’t really hear it much.The mask charges up via a USB cable which is supplied and one charge will last you a long time.It’s so easy to use, Simply open up your Bluetooth on your phone or tablet and select the mask when it pairs up, Then you can send music or audiobooks to your sleep mask.The mask itself feels nice and soft, It’s not brilliant blackout because the bottom is open and lets lots of light in.I felt disappointed that it wasn’t a 3-D mask, That would’ve been so much better for people that have eyelashes fitted and people like me that get a bit claustrophobic when they can feel their eyelashes touching fabrics, I just end up wanting to pull the mask away all the time.So that part of it was disappointing for me, No matter how good the sound quality of the mask – if it isn’t comfortable then I’m not going to use it much.Also for that price I really would expect it to be 3-D and more structured.The quality is hard for me to rate it as it’s not what I would expect for that price, but the fabric is very soft and does feel nice, The sound quality is great, much better than I expected, but doesn’t make up for the lack of structure and blackout quality of the mask.
