Conair 247BW Black Compact Hair Dryer – 1875W

I bought a different Conair hair dryer when my ancient one of 15 years bit the dust. The one I ordered was way too heavy and long for me. I’m 5’1″ with short arms so I decided to return it. I ordered three others including one travel dryer. One of the three was also too heavy and I realized it was the retractable cord that was adding the weight like the first one. So I returned three (all Conair) and kept this one. Why? Light enough, short enough, no unnecessary attachments, high, low and a cool shot button that was all I needed. It is smaller (looks like 7 X 8 inches) and light enough for travel so I don’t need another dryer for that. I must add my hair is thin and does dry quite easily. I use a ceramic brush to curl my hair under while drying my hair. I’m glad this one worked for me.

Love the hairdryer, but the switch froze after only four months of use. Just froze and would not slide up or down. It has a warranty of one year, but my “handy” husband tried to open it up and see what the problem was so I knew that probably killed the warranty. But, this same hair dryer is $13.97 at my local Walmart. I just bought another one and have decided to get an extra because I like the dryer so much. It fits in my drawer at my vanity. The cool down speed matches the drying speed you are using. Many hairdryers have only one speed on cool down and it is the high speed. Like others here, I first used this dryer in a hotel.
