Let me tell you, if you use this shampoo daily, you might be bald in a year.I have wavy hair, and my sister has curly hair (we both have quite a lot of it), so we use a variety of hair products, which leads to build-up. Naturally, we needed a good cleansing shampoo to clean our scalps. Based on many positive reviews, the Goldwell Scalp Specialist seemed like a good choice.We both used this shampoo for three months before noticing that our hair was falling out more than usual. We wash our hair twice a week (so we only used this shampoo twice a week, not even daily!), and every time, we lost huge amounts of hair. At first, we didn’t think it was alarming—curly-haired people know it’s normal to lose a clump of hair on wash days. But the real problem was that our hair started thinning out. I remember tying my hair into a ponytail and realizing the volume had drastically shrunk.We didn’t have bald spots; instead, the hair loss was general across our entire scalp. It was particularly noticeable at the hairline, where the hair is naturally thinner—I could actually see my scalp through my hair.At first, we thought it was seasonal shedding (summer to fall), but the hair loss didn’t stop. I even considered visiting a doctor to check for a vitamin deficiency. However, since my sister was experiencing the exact same issue and we both felt physically fine, that didn’t seem likely.After four months, we concluded that this shampoo was the bad guy. We immediately stopped using it. Now, we’re just praying for our hair to grow back. It has been one month since we stopped, and the excessive shedding has reduced slightly, but it will probably take a year (or more) for our hair to return to its original state.I’m writing this review to warn you: Do NOT use this shampoo! Or at least, don’t use it frequently. Maybe once a month wouldn’t cause much harm, but definitely NOT daily! As for me, I’ll never touch this shampoo again.
