These travel containers are high quality. So is the price (more on that in the last paragraph). I’ve never seen a set like this, very innovative and useful. In fact, these little travel capsules are just about perfect. HERE’S WHAT I LIKE:**Compact & Neat — The magnets and hexagon shape allows these containers to stick together, whether you stack them or turn on their sides. Sliding them into a clear travel bag is so easy. Love that they stick together. No more digging through a zip-lock bag full of products to find what you need.**Leakproof — These screw down securely. Definitely no leaks. The hexagon shape lets you know when the lid and bottom are tight. If they don’t align, they aren’t fully sealed.**Surface Feels Good In Hand/Easy Wipe-Clean: The silicone like surfaces are easy to hold and wipe clean so you can use them repeatedly.**Modern, Simple Design — Not only are they functional, these containers are beautiful. Clean lines, smooth edges, soothing colors. I got the charcoal set. Love the look of these.**Extender Tube is Genius — Some product engineers hit a home run when they designed the open-ended tube! My set came with one tube, I need more. The lid and bottom of any container can be separated and the tube placed between them. The lid and bottom of the original container then screw into each end of the tube to form one taller container. So smart, and functional.WHAT COULD BE BETTER:**Hard to Open with Weak or Arthritic Hands — To be leakproof, the lids and bottoms of these containers screw together quite tightly. I found the smallest ones hard to grip and open. Someone with weakness in their hands may struggle to open these.**Limited Labeling — Each container lid has a descriptive word engraved on it. Unless you are using the containers for the exact product pre-written on the outside, you may find it hard to remember what you put inside. I wish there were interchangeable labels or another way that the permanent labels could be changed. The product information states that the manufacturers went through 207 prototypes to get these containers just right. I believe them. The Cadence travel containers clearly have a lot of planning and care built in. They are stunning in form and function.Still, it’s just a travel set – the value proposition falls quite short for me. Some math: The maximum COMBINED storage capacity of this set is a mere 7.83 ounces. Dividing the number of ounces that you can store by the total cost of the set comes out to $17.11 per ounce. That’s a tremendously costly convenience factor. Will you pay it? While I’d love to receive lux containers like these as a gift, I cannot justify buying this set at its current price point. I just wouldn’t pay this much to transport tiny portions of my potions. Thus, I’ve removed one star from my rating of these beautiful containers. I still love them and recommend them.

I’ve used these cadence travel jars before and I quite like them. They are quite heavy if you are using them for air travel. But they seal completely, and I have never had anything leak. I chose the charcoal color, and I don’t think I would do that again because the labels are very difficult to read on it. Also it would’ve been nice if there had been choices for the labels. I don’t know anyone who would put a liquid toner in a jar like this. So having that option would’ve been nice. I suppose they can be popped off and you can just use a permanent marker to write on the exposed top. But that makes it hard to change at a later date, obviously. They are very well-made, the magnetic aspect is wonderful for keeping them organized. It should be noted, however that the smallest size containers are not magnetic on the sides, only the tops and the bottoms. Recommended, with the caveats above.

I purchased Cadence containers when they first came out and they were a little different than they are now. The company has come a long way at improving the design and making the capsules even better. For one, the capsules are larger than they used to be. I’m really excited to be able to put more liquids, vitamins, or jewelry into these new sizes. Along with the larger sizes, there are also multiple sized capsules now. I love that this set comes with 4 of the regular sized containers, plus two of the small containers for items that you might not need as much of. One of the biggest improvements is the expander that allows you to add some extra space to any of your containers. You simply twist it onto the capsule and then put the cap on top of the extender. This extender allows you to have extra space for something that you might need more of, such as shampoo. The magnets for the new containers also seem to be improved, so you can snap them together however you want to. I’m really impressed with all of the improvements and can’t wait to take these with me on all of my trips. I’m removing one star because the extender didn’t screw on perfectly like it should have, so the curves didn’t match up properly with the container beneath it. The packaging is beautiful and this set could really make a great gift for someone. The only downside to this set in particular is that the magnetic labels are premade since it’s meant for skincare, so there isn’t any customization. If you’re wanting custom labels, you should create your own set on their website.

The Cadence Travel Containers are really nice. They’re very well made, well designed, and definitely high quality. They’re really easy to use, and work great too. They’re also easy to clean. Each one is already labeled with different types of skincare products as well, and this set comes with an extender piece that can be added on. I especially like how these are magnetic. Overall, I think this is the perfect travel set for skincare products – compact, secure (tight seal), easy to use, as well as clean, strong, durable, and they hold a good amount of product in each. This is a very nice, professional, and stylish, travel set, but unfortunately, I also think it’s extremely expensive. As high quality as this set is, I just don’t think I can see how the price is justified (at the time of this review, it’s $134). If you’ve the income to spend, then I’d absolutely recommend getting this set – it is, by far, the best travel set I’ve seen (the only thing I think that’s missing is a container to hold it all in – if you like keeping them altogether).PRODUCT: “Cadence Travel Containers – Skincare Full Set – Magnetic Travel Capsules – 2 Small (0.56oz), 4 Medium Capsules (1.32oz), & Extender (1.43oz) with Multiple Labels for Better Organization – Charcoal”

Overall, I’m a big fan of these Cadence containers for travel. They are so easy to clean and I have had zero issues with products leaking. At first I didn’t realize that the labels were removeable and magnetized which is a really nice and clever feature. To remove them, you press down on the edge and lift it from the raised side. Once I figured this out, I absolutely loved the labels. Sadly though, there is no ability to customize them and some of the ones that are provided are impractical. Moisturizer, cleanser, sunscreen, etc. are perfectly fine in a jar like this but most toners are pure liquid (like water) and not something I’d ever put in a jar to travel with. Serums also tend to be sensitive to air exposure so also not something that you’d dispense into a jar.The containers are heavy but are great for organization and staying put and stacked in small hotel bathrooms. The extender rings are also a lifesaver for things like lotion or sunscreen that may need more product depending on the length of the trip. While I love the extra capacity the extension ring provides to any of the other containers, the rubber ring to prevent leaks can be a little finicky and the sides do not line up correctly with the other pieces when fully tightened.Overall, I do really like the Cadence containers, how well made they are (with a few caveats), and they are super easy to clean. I also find the magnets and the labels to be really innovative (minus this inability to really customize them in any way). However, there are some drawbacks that are hard to overlook at this price point.
