I use these for all sorts of things, mainly for DIY lip balm and travel containers. I love that they are not plastic, so I can disinfect them in boiling water to reuse them. If they eventually get so beat up that I no longer want to reuse them, they are recyclable. I will happily repurchase these if I ever need more.

The first 0.5 oz tins I bought were a smidge more sturdy and came in a very nifty box with labels. Didn’t need the labels. But the bottoms had a molded intention on the bottom which only allowed for a teeny ‘ingredients’ label. The next I tried were very thin, some dented, and actually not the size as described. Back they went! This brand is my 3rd try. They are the proper size, allows for a larger bottom label, are sturdy enough not to feel cheap, and are not dented; but no nifty box (which I can live without). And they are cheaper than the ‘sturdy’ ones with the box. I’m sticking with these.

This has been a great product. It’s just the right size, as advertised. It’s perfect for diy balms and ointments as well as other things like makeup, chapstick, etc. It does get hot when you pour your hot liquid balms into it, so be aware of that. Also, if you keep them in your car or anywhere that’s prone to temperature fluctuations then whatever is inside will be affected (melt/freeze). The quantity for the prize is excellent and I would recommend the product. So far it has served its purpose well and I am happy with it’s performance.
