I was so skeptical when getting this, which is why I didn’t buy a $300 device. I get cold sores 1x a month on my mouth. I ordered it in the middle of a sore and it didn’t help at all as the sore was already open. I’ve used it twice now on new cold sores and they’re gone overnight. I do use it more than it recommends, about every 4 hours the first day when a sore starts. And completely has healed them. I am the type who has tried everything for cold sores. Super impressed with red light therapy and this product. Use it as soon as you get the initial tingle-don’t wait until it’s an open sore.

This device is really good at shrinking mouth lesions when they are present and not letting little ones grow into bigger ones. My only drawback is that it beeps like every 7 seconds which is super annoying. I haven’t read about any way to silence the beeping.

For over $100, not a fan of this item:1) Annoying – Loud electronic beep every 5 seconds. Can’t be turned off. Red light therapy should be relaxing. This is not. Had many red lights in the past, none that beeped.2) Limited use – Max 60 seconds before the light turns itself off. Must select a time option before starting. Options are 10, 30, 40, or 60 seconds (random and too short.)3) Overheats quickly – Used it twice in a row and the unit got really hot. Can’t use more than a few times without waiting for it to cool down.4) Be sure to read the terms… ITEM IS NOT RETURNABLE
