Works perfct and ad you expects. I have type 3B hair and for me this has worked amazingly well on my coils. No real stickness, no strong smell and decent value for money to help nourish my curls.

This product is part of the Frizz Ease family, which I was pleased about, as I’m a satisfied customer of Frizz Ease. But I hadn’t consciously associated it with John Frieda, so I’m surprised the Frizz Ease name didn’t feature more prominently in the listing. It seems a touch expensive at £7.99, and didn’t bottles used to be more than 150 ml for this money? But everything has become so expensive, so maybe this is a fair price in 2025? Ugggh!I only wash my curly hair once or twice a week. I wouldn’t say it looks dirty in-between, but yes, the curls do lose definition after a couple of days, so it’s nice to have something to perk them up without the whole rigmarole of re-washing.The chief advertised ingredient is moringa oil, but a glance at the ingredients shows this considerably farther down the list than the rather less exotic- or luxurious-sounding hydrogenated castor oil (also known as castor wax). So it does contain moringa, but it might not be what’s doing most of the work. The smell is not unpleasant – a stereotypical salon-type smell – but does have a whiff of wax about it.I’ve tested a lot of curl products lately, and whilst it’s not exactly a revelation, it has brought home to me that ALL are a double-edged sword. If you want your curls defined and separated, what you apply to do it is going to be one or more of: oily/waxy/sticky. This can give your hair a crunchy finish, or make it look prematurely greasy and in need of a wash, and this product is no exception. Did it separate my curls and add shine? Yes! Did it also make my hair appear a little less clean than before? Yes!The instructions recommend to spray little at first and avoid the roots – which is an implicit recognition of the greasiness. I don’t think I’d use this every day, because it would hasten the need for a re-wash, when my goal is better-looking hair for longer *without* washing.

Review of: John Frieda Dream Curls Oil-Infused Wave-Revitalising Spray, Reactivate and Hydrate Curls, 150mlI test any curly hair product I can get my hands on and I have used some John Frieda products before and found them to be good. This revitalising spray is reasonably good in an emergency. My hair always look great immediately after washing and drying but after an overnight sleep it can be a bit unruly and dry/frizzy so I do use reviver products because washing my hair too much can make it dry and fly-away.I found this product to be effective in re-curling the stray wisps or wayward clumps and making my hair look presentable again. It did make my curls slightly crisp so I had to scrunch the crispiness out after they dried. It was also slightly more oily than I would have like so there was no hint of shine because of the dulling effect of oil.My hair was in surprisingly good shape the day after using this so that’s a bonus.I might take it with me on holiday where I hope to swim in the sea. Perhaps the oil will give my hair a bit of protection from the sea water.

Did not like this at all. Very sticky and hard on the hair. Binned it!

My thick hair does not like this product one little bit. It leaves me with oily roots and makes it so heavy, I instantly feel I need to wash it again. It’s also irritating my scalp quite a lot and when brushing it all out (before my wash), lots and lots of white flakes came out of it. Not a nice experience at all.
