This is quality cotton yarn that doesn’t easily split. It wouldn’t describe it as soft ─it has kind of a slightly stiff and waxy feel─ but that is exactly what I needed for crocheting a tote. And you get a lot for your money.

This is my all time favorite yarn! I have texture issues and can’t use most yarns, this yarn doesn’t give me any issues and feels great. There’s not been any knots in the cones I’ve purchased, there is 651 yards in each cone (397g), and works up with the most detailed stitch definition. It is splitty, some colors are worse than others, this one seems to be one of the better ones, but using the right hook helps tremendously! So if you are having issues, try a different hook. I particularly like the clover Armour or furls streamline metal or odyssey if you have one. But honestly the clover seems to work the best. (I haven’t tried a resin hook, so try whatever you have on hand until you find the one that works best for you).

I’ve made several modified hanging plant holders, and this yarn is perfect!
