First, in terms of how natural it is, it is in a class of its own being the first and only Ecocert COSMOS Natural certified sunscreen. So that is definitely a huge plus since sunscreen SHOULD be protecting your health, and not HARMING it. The texture is quite thick compared to other sunscreens though. It makes it harder to apply, and sort of drags the skin when you’re rubbing it in. The thickness of the SPF will depend on how old your bottle is/or if it has been subjected to high temperatures. I only see this as an issue during application though.
There is definitely a white cast but it’s usually mitigated by rubbing it in long enough. I guess it also depends on how dark your skin tone is. It leaving a white cast, is only an issue for me when I apply too much. I love that doesn’t leave your skin looking greasy, and that it’s properly formulated so that you know it’s effective.
If you have any concerns or issues with their product, I suggest you contact them as they have given me some of the best customer service I have ever received. They even answer on weekends!
There are definitely things they can do to improve upon the formulation but I think it’s clear that they really care about what they do.

I really wanted to like this product. Wearing a good sunscreen with high UVA/UVB protection is really important to me. Other reviewers mentioned the white film but I ignored those reviews as I often use sunscreens that most people find way too white, heavy, greasy etc. This sunscreen is so thick that it’s very difficult to get out of the bottle even when I take the top off. I have never seen a sunscreen so thick and white and I’ve tried many. It reminded me of pure zinc diaper cream. The description says it’s a “NEW rapid rub-in formula, so it’s easy to apply, lightweight, no white cast and quick-drying”. Maybe I got a bad batch but I felt totally scammed!!!

Ery dry and hard to squeeze, may be sent expired product, never buy again

I really wanted to like this sunscreen. It’s reef-safe and sensitive skin-safe, but it’s way too thick and paste-like in consistency. Very hard to rub in and likewise almost impossible to wash off (even with a textured cloth). Maybe I got a bad batch? But $28 is just too much for disappointing sunscreen. The search continues.

This product is so thick that it is really hard to squeeze out of the tube…and once I got it out, it took a LOT of rubbing in to get pas the white glow- Thankfully, I had brought another type on my trip, because it really borders on unusable. For the price, I’m sorely disappointed…
