I’ve found this to be sweet. The heart is a synthetic ‘plate’ (so not a natural stone) surrounded by a metal looking/feeling trim which is fixed well enough not to catch and lift up: I’ve tried to lever my nails under and it stays fast. The ‘plate’ is opaque and does have a sort of swirl but it is not overly noticeable. One side is ‘glassy’ to the gloss surface, and the other (on the one I received) has some mini air bubbles here and there. I feel this will do the job of polish mixing (on the super smooth side), and the other side will definitely be useful for placing tips or diamantes on, so dropped a star for the above. On reflection I guess it was not going to be actual stone for the price listed, so on my part that’s a bit of an assumption so won’t rate the item down for something it was not advertised at being.
