Needed makeup to be the Joker for a comic book party and this product delivered. The spirit gum that they provide to build up “scarring” looks superb but is lost a bit once you apply the rest of the makeup. The green hair dye is very runny and the nail polish applicator they give you is…a choice. You’d be better served just dumping the dye into your palms and running it through your damp hair–and I do stress damp hair, as dry hair won’t take the color very well.The white makeup just needs a little bit of moisture (I used a water spray bottle) and then it applies very well. The black goes on very strong, so be careful where you apply, otherwise you’ll have to wipe it off and redo it. The black pencil liner included helps to get those runny line looks, but I also used a q-tip. The red is a bit on the maroon side rather than striking red, so I blended a bit of black and white here and there to make the color pop more.The green dye came right out in the shower, the white required a little scrubbing, and I had to use a makeup removal wipe for the black. The red mostly came off but 2 days later, it is still faintly present only in the areas where the spirit gum scar makeup was, so mixing those 2 products makes the red stain a little longer.They provided enough of everything to use several times for multiple applications and I’ll be saving it for next Halloween, for sure.

One star because the green hair colour was easy to use and worked well on grey hair.The white face paint was terrible – dry and hard and almost impossible to apply. It made the skin slightly paler but not white as expected. The red was too pale and I ended up using a red lipstick instead. I didn’t use the other items as I was doing my husband’s make up in the style of Arthur Fleck (Joachim Phoenix’s Joker).All in all a bit of a waste of money.

Depends on the look you really want to go with. For most people doing a basic Heath ledger joker, this will work fine.Personally, I did not like the red for lips and went with something slightly darker, this ended up too pink for me.The green hair application did not add much green to my dark brown hair, however it was a good base that I complimented with a brighter green hair spray. But I went through it really fast.Lighter hair will do just fine with this, may want a darker red. Everything else will get you there in look just fine.

I wasn’t expecting make up of this quality!I love Mehron, but have never purchased one of their kits before. I figured the lower price would mean lower quality goods. However, that is not the case!The make up this came with was the same quality of other professional make-ups sold by Mehron.The make up containers were all pristine and sealed.Good quality sponges.The scar liquid worked well for the look I was going for. (I used this for a twisty the clown from American Horror Story look) I’m not sure if the results will be the same when used on the cheeks, but I got a good textured look from layering the scar liquid on my forehead for the look I was going for. Just do multiple layers and give it time to dry and crack. It also works great with Mehron’s congealed blood if you want it to look like a fresh wound!The only negative I can think of is that the box was a little squished, but I was buy make up, not a box.
