It is a great file for climbers. I just wish the difference between the two grades were a bit more evident. They are bought very rough and I need to use a third finer to have a nice smooth finish. The shape is just great, you can have a good grip and get to the most difficult callus. I also like the spare files for when they wear off.Amazing product!

This product is amazing, I tried using normal nail files to get rid of the hard skin which didn’t work. This product is amazing. I would definitely recommend and buy again.

I thought I’d give this a try as I have calluses from weightlifting as I hate wearing gloves. I only really have calluses on my palms at the base of my fingers and the description suggests that the different edges and shapes are good at getting in creases and on finger pads which isn’t an issue for me, however I found the edges and curved sections of this really good as you can concentrate on just the area of callous without rubbing too much at the surrounding skin which can be uncomfortable . It did take a bit of experimenting to find the best way to do this and I found the finer grade area actually felt more effective. It took around 15 mins to get from the before to after picture on one hand, although if you did this little and often to stop your callouses building up it wouldn’t take too long to keep them in check.I’ve noticed since using it that it’s more comfortable to grip a barbell or pull up bar as you don’t have the hard pads of the calluses getting compressed and digging in. Plus of course my hands also look a bit better cared for! This is basically just 2 sheets of different grade ‘sandpaper’ stuck onto a shaped piece of wood. Unfortunately the paler grey/white sheet on mine isn’t stuck properly on one edge so was peeling off before I even started using it. This is particularly annoying as it’s the edges I find most useful and used these most.£8.95 feels quite expensive for this but it does depend how long it lasts. I’m hoping that seeing as I’m mainly using the edges these patches won’t wear out too quickly like they do on a emery board.

Doing CrossFit and climbing means my hands are a mess. I wanted to find a way to give them a good file down to let them heal. For me, this isn’t it. The angle of the board makes it quite tough for me to get to the areas I need and get a good finish. It’s ok. Not terrible but for me it’s not great.I will continue to use it but I need to try and find something better I think.

The shape is easy to hold.Although at first I thought the abrasive surfaces looked rather vicious, actually they’re effective and this works well.Life limited by the fact that the “sandpaper” will clog up and render it useless.Would be a good idea if the sandpaper attached to the wooden form with Velcro and it came with spares. It does work as intended though.
