I’m big into smelling good and have a moderately-sized collection of fragrances from whiskey-inspired scents to this ‘Oceans’ eau de toilette travel spray from Nautica that’s light and fresh smelling.I think this scent is ‘just okay’ overall. Comparing Oceans to some of my fresh/sporty favorites like CK Eternity, Ralph Lauren Polo Sport, or Acqua Di Gio (going old school here, folks) Oceans just doesn’t stack up. The scent is just kind of a bit dull and forgettable and not something I see myself ordering 20-years from now like with my favorite colognes.The main advantage to Oceans is the travel bottle size. This slender cylinder fits neatly in my travel bag and takes up minimal room, and is of course, TSA carry-on friendly. It definitely gets high marks for convenience when traveling.The price on the other hand is borderline absurd considering the uninspired aroma – $34.31/oz as of when this review was written. I can purchase my favorite colognes for well under $20/oz from Amazon!Not a fragrance I’d consider ordering again.

Nautica’s little blue bottle of, OCEANS spray, for men, smells amazing on him.As his wife, I really like the freshness of the scent on him.It has an alcohol free/ water based formulation that he really enjoys wearing and I enjoy the aroma of.My Husband and I both think and feel that Nautica’s OCEANS has a really fresh and crisp scent that captures the real oceans feel and scent but with a more masculine woods aromatic scent.This travel size, 0.6 Fl. Oz. Eau de Toilette Spray bottle is a convenient sized bottle for him to carry with him when he travels for work or leisure, goes to the gym, or even in his truck console, for when we have a date night and he wants to freshen up his good smell. Plus, the blue color of the bottle is attractive to look at, or so we think.Nautica is a brand of men’s fragrances that he wears often, collecting their differently shaped bottles.OCEANS has an alcohol free, water based formula that doesn’t dry out his semi-sensitive skin! It doesn’t burn when he applies which is important for him as a man that does have sensitivity to some products with an alcohol base.Overall, this is a refreshing new water based scent that has no alcohol from Nautica. It has a fresh ocean like scent that doesn’t burn when it’s sprayed on the skin. It has a very attractive package and vibrant blue colored bottled that is very nice!One downside, for us personally, is that its scent doesn’t last the entire day.He can apply it in the mornings and by lunchtime he needs to freshen it up.Now, if and when Nautica ever creates this exact “Oceans” scent in an Eau de parfum vs. this Eau de Toilette spray, we’d be first in line to order it.Another downside for us is the cost of this smaller travel sized bottle. It’s ok only a 0.6 FL Oz bottle at a price point of$22.98 {before taxe} and as if this review. That breaks down to $34.30 per Fl Oz., a ittle too expensive, in my opinion. I realize that this is a great size for traveling ideally but not for an every day wear.
