I have been looking for a hairdryer that ticks all the boxes – low energy, powerful but quiet, and quick-drying – I was trying to decide on spending on the Dyson or other expensive brands, but spotted this and thought I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did – it is exactly what I was looking for. It's lightweight too, the nozzles friction-fit really well (just pull off a bit, turn and push back to change position – it's not
too hot to the touch) and the buttons are well-placed and aren't easily switched over by accident. I honestly can't praise this hairdryer highly enough! I've got thick, long, wavy hair, and it takes just over 10 mins to dry from towel-dried rather than 20 mins with my previous hairdryer. It takes about 5 mins if I leave my hair to air dry in the warmer months. I just rough-dry it without the nozzle for about 5 mins, then finish off with the wider nozzle in 6 sections.
It's got more of a "whoosh" sound to it rather than an annoying and loud high pitched sound, and definitely doesn't leave my ears ringing afterwards !
In terms of frizziness – as usual when you change to a new hairdryer and you have frizzy hair, you have to get used to it, and maybe adapt your routine a little. I found at first it could get a little frizzy soon after using. I expect it's because it's got higher air flow than my previous dryer – but I'm still experimenting with the different nozzles too (and maybe I should section my hair more since there's so much of it, especially now I'm growing it long again). EDIT: I've finally worked out how the hairdressers reduce frizz and it has definitely worked well with this hairdryer too: making sure you dry the hair from the underside as well. So I used to have the brush curling under my hair, and hair dryer above my head pointing downwards along the length. Make sure you flip the hair over onto the brush positioned above your hair, and position the dryer so it's getting the underside of your hair section whilst the brush guides it downwards and outwards. Basically, I was missing the underside of the hair that wasn't drying properly and frizzing up. It's so much more well behaved now!
The best solution when I'm still in a rush: I'm using a frizz-ease serum (which I wasn't before) and either use the cool setting and cool shot function on low power to set the hair after drying (followed by more serum) or tie it back in a low ponytail to let it set. So I wouldn't say it's especially anti-frizz, but it doesn't make it more frizzy than normal. You might just need to be prepared to experiment with the settings to find the best way to dry it without frizz.
Overall: buy it! It's a great hairdryer, you'll save yourself precious time (and money) and probably protect your hearing too. I love it, just bought one as a Christmas present too!

Extremely happy with my Nicky Clarke hairdryer. Dries hair super quick and leaves hair soft and shiny. It’s lightweight, efficient and easy to use. I would highly recommend this hairdryer especially for anyone with chemically treated frizzy hair like myself!

Bought for wife as a present and she says its very good but heavier than her last one. Dries her hair faster and feels good.

Mine arrived this weekend and I’ve just used it. It’s more powerful than my previous hairdryer meaning I don’t spent too much time with the straighteners which is why I bought it. Using a curling brush it created a curl at the bottom of my hair really easily. It’s not heavy to hold either.

I love the packaging, it felt prestigious and was well presented. I have long fine hair and I use the second heat setting and first fan setting. It is the most gentle hairdryer I’ve ever used, it doesn’t feel hot but dries my hair quickly and leaves it shiny. I’m never going back to a traditional hair dryer and I’m saving for the Nicky Clarke infrared straighteners.
