These provide protection from sunscreen fading and accidentally getting sunburn. Once you apply the sunscreen over them they will change colour as the sunscreen wears off & lets more UV light through.Value for money? Considering the potential protection from sunburn, I think £5.99 is a small price to pay. So, yes, I think these are value for money.

These UV detection stickers are sorta neat. To test the colour-change function, I taped one to the window, facing toward the sun. It seemed to take around 30 minutes to change colour despite direct exposure, and the colour was a very, very, VERY faint purple tint. I was hoping for something a little more noticeable.I left one on my arm for a while because the sun pelts me when I sit at my desk, but I don’t think that was enough because it didn’t change colour within the hour. The adhesion was fine in a non-sweat, non-swim situation, but if it gets wet you’ll need another one.
