This is an oldie but a goodie! I’ve been buying Nordic Naturals products for over 13 years, and this Children’s DHA has been a staple in our home for the past five. I mix it with my children’s liquid multivitamin and get zero complaints—especially impressive considering it’s a fish oil supplement. The strawberry flavor helps a lot, and I love knowing they’re getting the essential omega-3s their growing brains need. The quality is consistent, and I truly trust this company to continue delivering clean, effective supplements for families like mine.

I’m a big fan of natural therapies, but was sceptical about how well this would work for my 3 year old son who had recently developed a serious stutter out of nowhere to a point where he couldn’t get basic words or sentences out out to the point of great frustration for him.We knew that his poor diet wasn’t helping things, and decided to incorporate this product into his diet every day (he wouldn’t take it straight) – exactly two weeks after taking this oil, his stutter is completely gone! I wanted to love this product. The product itself tasted clean and fine, (hence 3 stars) my children didn’t have any problem taking it plain, and I was excited to see health benefits but after taking it for a month daily, my 9 year old’s thick, healthy hair suddenly started falling out in handfuls – just like another reviewer said happened to her daughter. I read that excessive vitamin A can cause hair fall out and this oil is high in vitamin A. Maybe it’s a rare reaction, maybe it’s because my daughter eats very healthfully and perhaps already has ample A and didn’t need more. Anyway, after a few days of stopping the oil, her hair stopped falling out, thankfully. I was very worried! Unfortunately, cod liver oil is not for us, but other than that, the quality seemed good. We stored it in the refrigerator. No bad smell, no bad taste. My daughter’s previously thick ponytail is so much thinner now. I suppose her hair will grow back now that it’s no longer falling out. When I brush her hair, it doesn’t come out anymore, since stopping the oil a week ago. Every day since we stopped the oil, less hair fell out, and now, one full week without the oil, when I brushed her hair and only a few strands came out on the brush. What a relief. I had called her doctor and if it didn’t stop falling out after ceasing the oil, we would’ve had to take her in for testing. Extremely healthy, active, athletic girl, no health problems, healthy eating habits. The oil did it.
