I have been using all their different shampoos and conditioners for years. They are expensive but good if you can afford it. Otherwise, for my short fine hair i confess that other products would work for me. It comes down to what you are willing to spend.

Let me pre-face this review by stating that I simply ADORE Philip B. products. I find them to be superior to many other beauty products out there for hair. They are simply divine in their scents, particularly. (Oud being the absolute best, if you haven’t yet tried it, mind the ungodly expense at $36/2 oz, liquid gold). My highest recommendation, however, is sincerely the leave-in conditioner in Magnolia scent–NOT the spray, BUT the leave-in moisturizer especially if you love the scent of Magnolia. THAT will leave your hair SOFT, MANAGEABLE, and smelling like heaven all day long.THIS however, leaves a little to be desired (only by contrast to other Philip B. of course). Alone, without the conditioner, it is very “clarifying”. It leaves your scalp squeaky-clean, stripping off old product (but possibly natural oils as well, which is why I am reducing a star). The other thing I noticed is that the scent of this magnolia doesn’t “hold” as well as the other Philip B. Products at all, which I found disheartening. . If you’re a Philip B. buyer, it’s a 3 Star Product for sure. For non-Philip B. buyers, it’s a solid 4 though.
