This is a fabulous set of clippers. For your money you get:1x hair clipper1x beard trimmer2x safety covers (one for each)4 x extensions for the clipper (3 for the trimmer)1x pair of clipping scissors (not thinning ones) which are fairly sharp1x oil to keep the blades in good shape1x shoulder cape1x comb1x brush for cleaning the blades after useThey come in a bright, attractive box which makes them suitable as a gift. There is a carry case for all the above so ultimately I suspect the box will end up getting chucked out.If there’s any oversight on such a comprehensive set it’s not providing a bigger brush for the removal of cut hair from the face/neck.Both clippers and trimmer are cordless so require charging before use – but it’s much more convenient to be cutting your hair without cables getting in the way. There is a battery gauge on the clippers (but not the trimmer) so that you don’t get caught short midway through a trim. For some reason the charge point formats are different sizes which means you need two cables (provided), rather than being able to use one for both. This doesn’t make much sense and feels a bit wasteful. If there’s a good reason… I haven’t quite figured it.The blades seem sharp enough, but I do have fine hair. Only four choices for cutting length may be limiting for some – my previous Wahl set had 7 ranging from 3mm through to 30mm.The price on this set does seem to fluctuate – at around the £20-23 mark (which they are at the moment of writing) these clippers represent excellent value for money – but even at a higher price you are getting a good product with plenty of accessories and settings to play with.

I hadn’t heard of Hiena as a brand before, so wasn’t sure quite what to expect with this hair clipper set considering the price. I was pleasantly surprised when t arrived as the box includes everything you might need for men’s hairdressing at home. Scissors, Comb, 2 different sized clippers, clipper lubricant and many different guards for various lengths of trim.The two different clippers (small and large) are rechargeable (via USB – two different USB ‘A’ to proprietary conenctor cables are included – but no adapter) and the clippers are quite light weight – they trim hair smoothly and are particularly quiet. The kit includes a carrying case which is great for moving the set about and taking out and about when needed.This kit is excellent value for money currently priced at £29.99 at the time of writing and I can certainly recommend it.

This is a good value set of clippers making home cutting a breeze. The contents of the box is comprehensive, and the fact they come with a zipped carry case means they can easily be stored and taken when travelling if needed. The cordless design makes them easy to use, and the LED display shows battery life remaining, which is very handy – and the battery seems to last well. They are lightweight, easy to hold and the choice of blades makes for an accurate and easy cut.
