The rough side helped remove peels of skin from a mild sunburn on my forehead with one use. The mit shape is perfect for controlled massage. Rinses well. The fabric loop helps hang it to dry. Has a slightly funny manufacture smell when first opened, but that goes away. Glad I purchased this!
