SUN BUM Banana SPF 30 Lip Balm, Banana Sun Bum

Love this lip balm. Not only does it smell great but it leaves your lips super soft!

I want to first say that I’ve purchased this product both directly from the sun bum website and from Amazon as well as retail stores. No matter where I’ve got my product from I get the exact same reaction so I want people to be clear that I am in no way bashing on the people that sell the product on Amazon.It seems to be a tossup when you use this product. You’re either one of the lucky ones that get to have the amazing taste of this Chapstick with sun protection and great smell. Or you get to be one of the unlucky ones like myself. Every single time I’ve ever replied this product my lips dry up so bad within hours and start peeling off and blistering. My lips will instantly start cracking and bleeding and blistering to the point where I look like I am having either a severe allergic reaction, a massive cold sore out break (which I’ve test negative for), or it looks like I was just picked up from the Desert and I haven’t seen a drop of water in days.While not paying attention I accidentally picked up the Chapstick and put it on. It wasn’t until I realized how tasty it was that I notice I had it on my lips and instantly wiped it off. When I woke up the next day my lips started peeling. By the time they were done peeling and I made it to work they started bubbling and blistering and my coworkers were looking at me funny. It’s not fun to show up at the hospital you work at and look like you have herpes all over your lips, or like you’re patient zero for the next unknown virus that’s going to kill everybody.But honestly even if I didn’t have such an allergic reaction to it, it’s not moisturizing at all. At most it’s perfect for something that smells amazing and will get compliments from your date, and it taste amazing if you’re wanting to give that good night kiss that makes him remember how your kiss and your lips taste. The downside is if you kiss anybody with this Chapstick on and they have the same reaction that I have had, they are going to think you’re a disgusting disease festering trollop that gave them something.I honestly don’t know what it could be in the Chapstick that causes certain people to react so badly to it. Not only have I been tested for the cold sore virus and came up negative but I’ve had extensive skin grafting and blood work done to see what products and items I’m allergic to and my doctor has told me nothing. The flavor I’ve purchased with coconut and I’ve had coconut before and I’ve used a lot of the products in this Chapstick but something specific about Sun Bum causes really bad blisters and dryness that takes days to get over. I suggest you only buy one tube and tested on a small part of your lips. I suggest if you have any husbands or boyfriends that you have them test it on a small part of their lips before you go off and kiss them and make their lips swell up and bleed. Use the product at your own risk.
