I’m truly a fan of Sunny Isle products and this Sunny Isle Heat Protectant Thermal Spray didn’t disappoint!This Jamaican Black Castor Oil provides an essential heat protectant without leaving my hair weighed down with a greasy feeling.It’s a lightweight, non-greasy spray that protects my hair from heating elements such as my blow dryer, flat irons & heated curling tools. It also smells great and provides a nice sheen to my hair as well. It agrees with my hair texture and it definitely works well!Sunny Isle made another great product!

I don’t like writing poor reviews. Generally I am an average critic and find most products to be quite satisfactory. However it started off poorly when my bottle arrived and half the contents were spilled into the Amazon bag. When I took it out to inspect the damage, I realized it was simply because the lid wasn’t screwed on tightly, and the entire bottle leaked. I ordered a replacement which came quickly enough, and thankfully the contents weren’t spilled this time. However, even the new bottle still had a slight leak and the bottle was sticky and tacky to the touch as I removed it from the bag.The actual product for this is really bad, and I won’t be finishing the rest of the bottle. It’s very “heavy” on my hair, and leaves my hair SO sticky and tangled. And when I spray it, any part that gets on my skin/clothes also gets a tacky/sticky residue.Generally when I use a thermal protectant, I like to use enough to cover my entire hair (it’s relatively thick). For this product, the directions say to apply liberally. Unfortunately the more product I apply, the more tacky my hair becomes, to the point I can hardly even brush it because it becomes so tangled. And using this on my clean hair feels like a crime, as it takes away all softness/silkiness.The one good thing about this product is that it smells really nice. I just wish everything else was good too. Unfortunately I would recommend you SKIP this product, because if you’re experience is anything like mine, I don’t think you’ll be happy with it.

I’m so disappointed. This was very sticky when drying and then crusty when straightening. I stuck with it to the end but when I finished, my hair was fluffy and got fluffier in the hours after. I guess I’m more disappointed because I usually use heat protection and straightening sprays for European hair and they work so much better! I had high hopes because I thought this would be better for my 3c hair type. Won’t be buying again and feel like I wasted my time – I want to wash my hair again and use something else!
