    Lovely sweet floral
Wardi really started my obsession with Middle Eastern fragrances for me. On 1st spray I wasn’t that enthusiastic, but I did like the dry down. A few days later I tried again and it was as if the perfume had had a relaxing spa day with a bath, massages and a good night sleep…All of a sudden I got a gorgeous, lovely sweet rosy floral perfume that even had decent lasting power (not easy on my skin). Dirham Wardi has something special, an addictive quality that transcends this fragrance from a simple roses-white florals “Oriental” perfume to a scent you want to keep sniffing. I think it is the combination of jasmine and praline that gives it the sweetness, but also that addictiveness reminiscent of some “keep sniffing myself-gourmands”. While it comes across as a floral, it certainly has many a gourmand note to make it the creamy lusciousness so many people love (tonka, vanilla, Pear, blackcurrant and the praline). I don’t get any of the orangeblossom, iris or the Patchouli that’s in here too and I actually think that’s because Dirham Wardi is blended masterfully. I’ve trained my nose, but even for me it was not easy to discover seperate notes as each part of the pyramid is working in tandem to give you this smile inducing perfume. It truly has gotten better with each week too – something I’ve now learnt to expect with every Arab acquisition (they all need some chill & macerate time after travel and 99% performs better after ageing moderately and gets much stronger notes after several weeks or months). Wardi is the perfect Spring, Summer fragrance. In the colder months it gets an almost aquatic note. If you like that, Autumn is still doable. But I prefer her for the months with a temperature that’s 16 degrees and up. Though when temperatures go way over the 30s this fragrance has a harder time too. Not strange though. People sweat more then, and on warm bodies all perfumes evaporate quickly.Wardi is easy to wear for a large majority of females. I honestly don’t see men going for this, but if you do… I’m so curious to know what you get! What I mean, is that despite Wardi’s strong sweetness it isn’t a teenage perfume. Despite a pyramid with rose & two white florals + iris it isn’t a very mature one either. It suits a wide range of ages, but mostly women who like a sweeter floral smell. This could easily be a signature scent – a daily spritz for work. Longevity is between 3 and 6hrs, depending on chemistry and temperatures. The first hour projection is definitely decent and you’ll have an intimate to intermediate sillage. After that it’s all moderate, hence ideal office fragrance and college class perfume. Still, don’t go overspraying. It can be a dental glaze cracking one if you overdo it. Just respray in a bathroom stall after a few hours if you lose it.Price – quality is great. While I usually prefer the colder season perfume wise, Dirham Wardi is something to look forward to when the birds start building their nests. As said, this was my 1st introduction into Middle Eastern fragrances and soon other popular and less popular brand and fragrances followed. They are among my absolute favourites & as a result I can no longer count my Arab collection on all fingers and toes. With a wishlist that’s definitely an arm long ;). Luckily that arm smells delicious while waiting to get them all, and until it is time to spray on Dirham Wardi again…

As it was my first arab purchase I had so many expectations on this one. I thought it would be more floral but it smell like soap . Like a cheap soap and so random like i feel it at every woman in supermarket.

UPDATE: 4/19/25Hi,I’m updating my review on this perfume & giving 5 STARS, instead of 4.YES, this scent does linger on clothing & fabrics for a few days. Apply it to your bed linens & pillow cases..you definitely won’t regret it!! So, I had previously stated that it’s longevity on my skin didn’t last & had faded quickly within an hour. I take that back! It’s not the case at all. I did spray my bed with this BEAUTIFUL smell & it still remains a few days later. I decided to give it another try on my skin & body. (I always keep a perfume or perfume roll on oil with me for work, because my jobis being outside in this Florida HEAT during the majority of my shift.) For the last two days, I wore it at work & I COULD SMELL IT (finally) & so could others. Something smelled so NICE & I realized it was ME. I received MANY compliments from women & men. Asking me what I was wearing? It’s not overpowering or too strong! I don’t know what happened before & why I felt that it didn’t last on my skin or I couldn’t smell it? Maybe the bottle had to sit, after opening & let it do it’s thing? Lol.It lasted PAST my 8hr shift for work. The more I perspirated (sweating out here in the Florida), the “stronger” it got. That’s why I wear “perfume oils” most of the time. (But this isn’t an oil.) I, assure you, it’s an attention grabber & those who are around WILL follow the “lovely” scent trail you leave behind. It’s truly “PLEASURE IN A BOTTLE” & I’ll be ordering more for myself & some friends.
