On delivery, I started to apply to a stiff, badly curled large toenail that was causing pain and discomfort and limiting which shoes I could wear. After only a few days, the toenail stated to soften and seemed to recede at the curl. After a couple of weeks, the toenail edge that was curled downward seemed to flatten. I applied only to the ingrown edge of only one foot. The toenail on the other foot remains very stiff and ingrown (not as bad as treated one). Problem now is that with the discomfort gone, I do not apply daily and the nail is stiffening again. Continuous treatment may be necessary.

Skinapeel Toe Nail Softener really worked for me. I was constantly plagued by painful ingrown toe nails. I must say though, you have to use the product religiously for two weeks every day to get results. I would think, how quickly you get results depends on how thick and how ingrown your nails are. One tip I must pass on is, use the product after soaking your nails in warm to hot water as in a bathtub for best results. I believe the nails become more porous after sitting in warm water. Also make sure to get it under the nail as well as on the top surface. Don’t apply it like a nail polish; you have to get plenty all over the nail. I’m very happy with the results I obtained.

Bottle not as big as I had hoped, but pleased to say, I think it will go further than I first thought. Was a little disappointed with the lack of information, not only was print very small, but with the help of a magnifying glass was able to read. Paint on nails and surrounding area liberally twice daily. No information on how long for. I used for about four days, and on the fifth day after soaking my feet in hot water, (oldhabits die hard !) I cut my toe nails with ease, my nails appeared to be softer than they’ve ever been! No thoughts of getting an angle grinder to do the job!!( joking !) So apart from lack of information, the item does what it professes to do. It softens hard toe nails, and hard skin, so will purchase again when existing bottle is empty. Good value for money.

Does the product work? Yes it does.How well does it work? As a softener I would rate it as 4 out of 5.Is it plesant to use. No it is not. The substances will cause skin iritation if applied to any non toe nail area.Is it easy to use? No, the brush aplicator isnt acurate enough to apply it to the top and botom of the nail, withought getting it on your skin. The agents are also very slow to absorb. I found that it took up to 2 hours for it to soak into the nail correctly, and never less than 30 minutes. This makes it prone to getting rubbed off.How do I get the best results? Allow at minimum thirty minutes for the aplication, longer is better. File the surface of the nail. This gives it more surface area to penetrate, and thins the nail, so that less penetration is needed. A thinned nail is also naturally softer. Then carefully apply according to the directions and let it soak in.
