I have short hair and like tidy round my face without looking wet or feeling thick with product. This took my by surprise as I’m usually disappointed and i left with alot of products. Its a solid stick that I put directly onto hair for control. Good for fine fly away hair or thick bushy hair.. a fantastic find. No smell or stickiness. Easy to use and gives texture where needed. Good value for money

I usually use a matte paste for my hair styling needs.This is the first time using a wax product. First of all, I love the light scent of this product. It smells a little woodsy. I tried the product two ways. The first time, I applied the product to my hair after blow drying it. In this application, I found it easier to apply the product to the palms of my hands and then working it into my hair. This smoothed out the texture of my hair by taming some frizzy fly away hair. The second time I applied the product directly to my wet hair rolling the cylinder over my hair and then working it through my wet hair. I then styled my hair with the blow dryer. The result is that the product did help with styling but the hold is mild compared to a hair paste. I think it is important not to use too much of the product or it will weigh the hair down. Normally my hair would get curly and frizzy in humidity but the wax product really calmed the hair. So bottom line is the product can be used in several different ways as claimed but it does not provide superhold. I also find that it is better suited for a neat look rather than a messy tosseled look.

I’ve been looking for a replacement for the Toni & Guy wax stick for a while now. This is probably about the 4th or 5th different alternative I have tried and this measures up as the joint best alternative so far.It’s a decent price and does the job but in honesty it is still not on a par with the Toni & Guy one and you still have to push the stick up while you’re using it rather than having a twist up.So for this price I’d use it again but if someone comes out with something closer to the Toni & Guy one I’d switch over!

The packaging is nicely designed with a clean, simple motif. It is worth noting that the product description states you expose the product by twisting (I picture it like a glue stick), but in actuality you push up from the bottom like a “push up pop”. The product is unscented and applies easily either on your fingers or by rubbing it on your hair. I prefer the former method to the latter.I wear my hair on the shorter side and have some stubborn cow licks that need product to keep down so I’m always on the lookout for new products. This works well to keep the stubborn hair down initially, but isn’t a firm hold at all and any amount of touching whether by hand, hat, or wind will knock it loose. That said, it does work well for smaller fly aways. A little bit seems to go a long way and it washes out decently with warm water and shampoo.Decent product, but definitely not a 5/5 hold.
