As a redhead who is starting to fade, I have been very pleasantly surprised and impressed by this product! My hair has always been a brighter shade of orange/red. In my 40s, it started fading–not a lot, mind you, but some. I wanted something subtle to bring a little life back to my head! I’ve never used permanent color on my hair. It’s a little to drastic for me just yet. After experimenting with a few different temporary/semi-permanent colors, I read about henna cream hair color. I bought this brand in golden blond color and tried it. If I took a before and after picture, most people would not notice any difference, but I did! It brought just enough life back into my natural color to give it back some of the spunk I felt was missing. It even put a nice golden cast on my white hairs. At work the next day, several people asked my if I’d gotten my hair trimmed, styled differently, or new shampoo, but nothing about coloring it! I was thrilled, especially since at least one previous attempt left me looking like a neon carrot! Another benefit is that this product comes with everything you need AND it’s easy to do! The directions are printed inside the box and easy to understand. I did it by myself with no difficulty. The process doesn’t take a long time, which is also very helpful. I will definitely be purchasing it again!

I love this product. It’s so easy to apply and not messy. The colour is perfect for my mousy hair colour and sprinkling of grey. I try to keep away from nasty chemicals and it keeps my hair in good condition

This is a great alternative to traditional hair color. Easy to apply and leaves hair very soft. The coverage for gray hair isn’t as good as a traditional hair dye but it also doesn’t have the harmful chemicals.

I used to buy Surya Brazil’s semi-permanent henna cream in golden blonde which was sessions and lasted for ages, but sadly this isn’t available in the UK anymore. I was recommended this product as a replacement and was told it was ‘pretty much an identical product, just cheaper’. What a disappointment… I totally agree with what’s already been said with regards to lasting power – it just doesn’t last at all. I followed the instructions to the letter and prepared my hair with the clarifying shampoo it came with for the time stated, then left the colour on for the maximum recommended time. It took ages for the water to ‘rinse clear’ but the colour was ok after. However, when I shampooed my hair a couple days later, the rinsing water was really coloured. A mild baby shampoo removed it!! Rubbish. Lasted one week tops. Total waste of money and I will never buy it again. Smelled nice though…
