The texture of the balm is thick but not hard. It easy to spread and apply. I like the scents especially the Citrus and Bay Rum. The Citrus is lightly scented, and the Bay Rum has a pleasant cinnamon scent. My only complaint is the container is flat style measuring about 3 1/2 inches wide 5/8 inch deep. It is sometimes difficult to grasp the upper and lower halves of the container to open, especially if my hands are wet or oily. I put a rubber band on the lower half to assist with grip. I prefer deeper well containers that have more surface to grasp to open.
